Review on 🔒 Dorman 02253 Bypass Cap Assortment - Set of 8 by Justin Zilinskas

Whatever rubber they use (Dorman claims it's EPDM) will deteriorate in the engine bay within a month of use. The lid hasn't seen much heat, fuel vapors, coolant, or other liquids. It was used to block the vacuum port on the cold air hose. I've noticed that it's starting to crack. I suspect it's regular Buna-N rubber which is susceptible to ozone and other common air pollutants. I will replace it with real EPDM caps or even silicone caps. Overall: 1/5 stars - great for temporary repairs, don't expect it to last long.
