Too aggressive and THIS makes it dangerous

I use peel extensively to make peel from all kinds of citrus fruits for jams, curds and sauces. I've used microplane zithers for years, but they become less effective over time as the blades bend down over time; The more they bend, the harder you have to press on the fruit, which causes the blades to bend even more, and the problem goes from bad to useless pretty quickly. The Sicaco PRO Parmesan Grater, on the other hand, appears to be made out of better steel, and like the Microplane, the blades are very, very sharp. The problem is the angle of the blade. The blades cut the skin of the fruit VERY aggressively to the point where they actually grab the fruit and of course the aggressiveness of the cuts leads to a lot of skin pitting!. A person's hand can easily slip, and slipping can result in many very nasty cuts. It's scary to use, to be honest, and we've decided to replace it with the reliable Microplane. I recommend avoiding this dangerous tool.
