Definitely not for very large dogs. At least make them comfortable. We bought it for our German shepherd but he barely fits in and doesn't want to go in as the hole is small. Luckily our other little dog and pig love him so he does the job. It's not difficult to assemble, but the instructions weren't clear which side of each panel should face out, and I had to take it apart and reassemble it twice because I went a few steps further and realized it wouldn't help. that does not work. So keep in mind which side is facing out when building this. He's not difficult at all. I was able to move the box myself, assemble it and put it in the right place in our garden. It doesn't seem to be very durable though. Not sure how long this will last with the crazy south Texas weather, but it works and our animals are happy with it as they are mostly indoors. I would recommend buying the best dog house if your dogs are exclusively outdoors. Just so they have more space and a nicer physique.
