Advantages: Wide range of colors, rubber with good texture, comes with screws and screwdriver, much cheaper than Garmin official replacement strap. The original and many small corners are cut out, but nothing that would break the deal. The bushing that attaches to the main body of the watch doesn't fit as tight - on my original strap, precision tolerances in the bushings allow the strap to stay in place even after the screws are removed. The bushing on this replacement belt is much looser and looks a bit rougher when viewed from the inside, although once bolted on it feels very secure. The "edge" of the new watch strap is also a bit rougher. I didn't notice it in its entirety when wearing it, and it's not uncomfortable, but it's noticeable if you look closely. If you look at the photos for this review you will notice that the blue stripe (replacement) has a slight ridge on the edge as described while the original does not. The clasp feels a little lighter and thinner, but is still strong enough for heavy use. Overall, it still feels like a solid and functional replacement, but also a step down from the original (in both price and quality). Good or bad necessarily, but keep in mind that the strap is slightly longer than the original.
