Review on Efficient Oil Extractor: Stens 051-703 - Simplify Oil Changes and Maintenance by Joshua Talbot

I bought this unit in early 2017 to change engine oil, transmission oil and power steering oil in my For Edge. Although initially everything worked fine, after 2 years not so much. I've changed the oil twice, only the AT fluid once and haven't gotten to the PS fluid yet. Every time I used it I would run Dawn water through the hoses while pulling it up to the tank. I washed the tank thoroughly, dried it and put it back in the box. Last week I tried using it for an oil change. Two things happened. Install the pump handle with the stem attached to the pump end pulled out in my hand. So I had to hold the bracket to the tank while pumping. The gas cap with the hose connection would not close, so I had to keep pumping to get the oil out of the engine. Eventually I gave up and dropped it off the bottom of the engine. While it worked great the first few times, it doesn't work so well now. I'll see if I can get a new gas cap and pump gasket for it. Hopefully.
