Pros: - waterproof - 360° sound - sound quality and volume - form factor and build quality - price - battery life at half volume Cons: - battery life at full volume - no rewind button - battery status indicator appears on the phone I initially ordered the original WONDERBOOM because it was cheaper and completely failed within 48 hours. Dead. So I paid $10 and traded it in for a newer WONDERBOOM 2. I really wanted to like the first one. It completely deteriorated, which I put down to being a year old and never opened. The battery must have died due to non-use. Now for WONDERBOOM 2. The sound quality is good-excellent but inferior to some JBL products. The sound is truly 360°, which is great for outdoor use. Speaking of outside, the little tree-like button at the bottom makes a noticeable difference in sound when pressed. The form factor is excellent, especially with the elastic loop for attaching a clip or carabiner. The build quality can even be described as REMARKABLE. My only real complaint is with the battery life. Sure, it can run 13 hours at half volume, but if you press that button outdoors and turn the volume up to full, you'll get a little closer to 2.5 to 3 hours of playback. Other minor complaints include the lack of a rewind button/function (you can skip tracks by double-clicking the center button) and no battery indicator to view on a connected device (an iPhone 8 plus in my case). The only indicator of battery health is the number of beeps heard when the + and - buttons are pressed simultaneously. Overall this is a great (but not great) speaker and for the money I would highly recommend the Oontz Angle 3 Raindance (maybe I dropped the name).
