So a while ago I tried competitor carbide tipped blades. I usually buy Freud blades religiously, but I needed blades ASAP and Diablo had a 4-5 day delivery time. Competitor blades worked well but I expected more. One burned out on a rusting bolt holding the toilet. A carbide-tipped screw? I should have started with Freud. Since then I have owned three packs of Diablo and have used them for several jobs. they show no signs of dullness. The paint has worn off but the blades are still sharp. The reason I say them is because I have one in my wired ridguide and the other in my wireless. The third blade is not yet in use.
