We both have bikes and he has a large selection of bikes. We have hard mics for open helmets; I put my lid on and it worked really well. Otherwise, it's wind noise, showing it's being captured well. I move fast every now and then, I can't understand every word, but he can hear me, so I guess he's not covering the mic from the wind noise. I would recommend this set, I don't think any expensive set would be better. They work fine. If you had closed helmets I'm sure they would be even better. I wish we had a choice of hard mic or soft mic instead of ordering the hard mic separately. They work well enough that I don't get a full face helmet. You are loud enough.
