It splits the signal but there is a little problem

I've had the splitter for about 2 weeks now. It works well - allows you to view the same thing on two different monitors. It seems to work with any type of DVI cable as I use both types. I think it's excellent value for money. There is a small problem - the monitors do not wake up automatically. My situation is that I have two monitors with an extension to the second monitor. I then connect this splitter to a second (non-primary) monitor, giving me a total of 3 monitors. Primary and secondary are displayed on 2 monitors. So when my computer goes to sleep, I can wake it up by moving the mouse, but that only wakes up the main monitor. The other two monitors do not wake up. When I turn the second monitor on and off it says no video showing for about 1 second and then turns on and looks fine. I've had dual monitors for a long time, but just recently got a splitter and now the problem occurs. So I never had this problem until I got the splitter. Any help is welcome. All of them are Viewsonic VX2250. I'm running Windows XP on a Gateway desktop that's 2 years old.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • upgradeable
