Review on 🔌 PEMENOL 60W 6A Adjustable Buck-Boost Voltage Regulator with Cooling Fan: DC to DC Power Supply Module with LCD Display and Solar Charging Support by Robert Kimble

I used this to upgrade a power supply I built years ago and it didn't regulate well. It's a "kit" in the sense that you screw the fan to the back cover, connect the fan, and screw the front and back covers to the board. No assembly instructions are provided, but the photos in the documents (which can be downloaded online) are enough to show you how to put it together. You only need a Phillips (#2) screwdriver for assembly and a smaller Phillips (#0?) screwdriver to attach the input and output wires to the terminal blocks. I ran some simple tests using a "decent" DVM as a reference. The voltage reading on the device appears to be 1-2 percent too low; The 25V displayed gave a result of 25.04 measured with my DVM. The output voltage range is from less than 1V to 32.67V (displayed, 32.71 measured). The current limit is easy to set: just short the output and set the current limit potentiometer to your desired value. Again, the accuracy of the current limit indicator is in the 1-2% range, which is acceptable for such a cheap device. A nice feature is that the device regulates both the step-up (boost) and step-down (lower) input voltage, so you can plug it into a 12V power supply (for example) and get 24V from it "im". Device is that the output voltage exceeds the set value when the device is first turned on, so do not connect the load to the device until it is turned on and the output voltage reaches the specified value.(It will happen within one second after after switching on.) The photo shows the contents of the package: a device, a fan and mounting accessories, a case with accessories, a QR code for retrieving documents.Sorry for the bad photo.
