I can't tell you how to rate the stretch feature of this door brush. It's a 3 foot piece of aluminum with stripping bristles - nothing stretches! It might need a second person to fix it; However, mark the screw holes, the height of the bristles so they don't get stuck in the door skin, and cut the piece to width and screw into place. There is little wiggle room to raise or lower the part if needed - precise placement is not essential. Aluminum is strong enough that you'll need something to "cut" it to size. The bristles are strong enough that they won't let the door close completely if they're too low.
