The biggest problem with this product is that the nylon bristles fold/twist out of shape very easily. It's designed so you can slide the bristles out of the rest of the frame. I can't tell you how to rate the stretch feature of this door brush. It's a 3 foot piece of aluminum with stripping bristles - nothing stretches!
