I am a dance teacher and recently used these dresses for a performance. Basically I think the problem is that you get what you pay for, but they snapped left and right with light, regular use, which shouldn't have happened. I had to constantly fix them after every show and the opaque upper got a bit low and had to be redone out of modesty to cover the girls adequately, so to speak. Unfortunately I can't provide photos of the girls in costumes as it's against my company policy, but they looked great in them, which is definitely worth a mention. In general, use your best judgment with them. If you have quick alterations I do NOT recommend them as this is where most of my girls tears have happened, but again I have to stress that they tear in a way that clothes with basic seam quality shouldn't.
