Bought this because I enjoy working and fixing my cars my own unless it requires real knowledge or a lift or both and I have no choice but to take it to a real mechanic. I have a 2002 Celica that I bought when the previous owner didn't take care of her wheels. Long story short, I bought new wheels for the car only to find out they had locks (they have nut caps so I had no idea). The key to the lock was nowhere to be found. I bought these hoping they would help me. While these sockets are worth the money, I suggest that if you don't have a percussion gun or the patience and plan on reusing them, spend $40 (mechanics typically charge $10 for a wheel or lock) and have one. done professionally. After repeatedly hitting the FIRST lock with this head, I damaged a couple of teeth needed to remove the lock. In order for this socket to work, it needs to be aligned with the wheel, which means you need to make sure the entire socket is latched. As this is a tool used to remove a stripped or rounded collet nut, the fit MUST BE TIGHT. To do this, you need to drive the hole all the way in, as a result of which the teeth will deteriorate. There is no other way around this than destroying the socket with a single lock. If you're lucky your lock won't be tight, but for most people it always is because Joe Shmoo's mechanics use percussion weapons on the lug nuts, which you should never do. That's why I'm giving 2 stars because they are well done outlets that are just useless to most people who buy here.
