Works most of the time, but poor port placement and poor performance.

I got one as a gift about five years ago. It works as a hub for low-power devices like flash memory. It *does* not* always* work well when spinning up external 2.5" hard drives, even when using a supposed 2.6A hub PSU. I can live with that, but the port layout is absolutely terrible. The PC port, power port, and five (70%) of the seven USB ports are on the same side of the hub. Also, the PC and power ports are on opposite ends, so at least one of them is interfering with those five. ports. As someone mentioned, mine came with a mini USB plug.
