Eventually works. on single board computers
There was a problem with a driver (Silicon Labs) running on High Sierra with my Mac (unsigned so it wouldn't load even though it was listed in System Preferences > Security & Privacy was allowed " > General > Allow), but found a solution with Terminal in recovery mode that worked. If anyone has a similar issue please reply to this review and I will pass the URL on. I have mine at a scanspace for reading temperature and humidity data and it has been working great for the past week. I will buy again. Would have preferred to go directly through Adafruit but their shipping costs are prohibitive.
