These blades are great for cutting grout when you need to replace a single tile. Get some penetration fast and don't let your oscillating tool go crazy like it does with the square tip I use for trimming wood. Mortar erosion occurs fairly quickly and painlessly. Service life: One blade is enough for SEVERAL tiles. I suspect it all depends on the size, but I haven't noticed any wear with use (about 24 linear inches of tiles removed). Final Words: These bits are great for tile repairs with grout removal. I highly recommend them
