They struggle with wider spring clips on appliances
Knipex quality is great as usual but these pliers have a hard time keeping the split end of the spring clip in the washing machine (and I would guess dishwasher) because Upside down, the plus sign wants to hold one of the two parallel springs and push the other aside. The round end - one-sided - holds perfectly. And of course these are spring clips. So if they suddenly jump, the spring will naturally fall out of reach. I suspect these pliers were designed more for the automotive industry. use than for home use.
