Review on Motorcraft FD 4616 Fuel Filter by Raymond Simmons

I must have been one of the few who got a Chinese fake. The fuel filter under the hood was too big for the cover and I had to tighten it a bit to get it in. The O-ring didn't fit either. Once installed and tightened to spec, the o-ring flew out of the way. I gave him reason to doubt, reinstalled with no leaks, and drove to work. As I left work (at midnight, an hour from home) I smelled diesel fuel and stopped to check and to my surprise I noticed diesel fuel splattering all over the engine bay. I had to ask a friend to drive an hour to pick me up. Revain needs to keep a better eye on what they're selling. What a waste of time and money Edit* just replaced everything and the filter was wider and longer than it should have been. This was enough to prevent the cap from seating properly due to the o-ring being blown out. Thank you Revain for allowing a potentially dangerous situation with excellent quality control.
