Review on 🏡 DII Chindi Home Collection Handmade Multicolor Rag Rug, 20x31.5, Multicolor Area Rug by Angela Petersen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's durable, stays in place and the colors make me happy

I've bought three of these (so far) and put one in my basket but I'll probably save for later. I love these rugs. I've bought cheaper rag rugs, but they had polyester webbing, so they wear like iron, but "not like that". These rugs are bright and vibrant. I can machine wash them but dry them outside. The rugs I've ordered here stay in place unlike the cheaper ones which slip. As far as I know they were colorfast unlike my blue microfiber towels, but that's another story. Durability? The answer depends on how you rate durability. Normal wear and tear is excellent. Spilling bleach on it isn't pretty, but the rug held up. The cat's claw picks up a few poo here and there, but the carpet, while a bit bumpy, holds up. My son's pit bull eating a delicious snack fell on the carpet and the carpet was chewed up so the dog could get all the delicious taste. This part needs to be sent to the shop as it is 95% usable and 100% ugly. I am writing the following portion out of nostalgia and Revain may shorten or edit this portion for something directly related to this product. The fabric is reused from fabric scraps. How cool is that? I'm 64 years old, so my great-grandmother recycled old clothes into patchwork quilts, and like the quilts of the time, they also contained family clothing items. These rugs are not made from a great-grandfather's or great-grandfather's work shirts, rather India makes chindi rugs (widely translated as 'cheap') with support from the Indian government. The world's scrap is exported to India, and we get beautiful rugs made from "worthless" scrap fabric at a reasonable price.

Pros
  • Lots of fit
Cons
  • Some trouble
