I assume it was shipped by Kurt and I'm in DC so it arrived two days after ordering with free economy shipping. I added a front receiver to my GMC Jimmy (already had a rear one). Wanted to mount my bike rack on the front of the car if I had a trailer in the back. There is also a hitch mounted winch and didn't feel like running cables all the way to the rear of the car to use it. The hardest part was figuring out where I put my torque wrench. It puts a little pressure on the plastic on the bumper when installing - just enough that you have to apply a little forward pressure to get the bolts to line up in the holes. . But I'm not just going to crash into an existing plastic bumper to fix it. From the outside it looks like 1/4 inch interference. Two bolts on each side dangle through the frame and thread into the recovery hooks. When I looked at the instructions I wasn't sure if I was going to lose these features, but after that it became clear. car inspection I could do. The other two bolts dangle through the plastic cover and into nuts welded to the frame. A bracket needs to be created for this, perhaps instead curt could offer washers with built in clips for the hood to snap into place once the receiver is installed.
