The fit and finish won't compare to your $200 folder, but you'll never be afraid to use the Squirrel for real knife work. Slim and no more than 3.5 inches (closed length), the squirrel goes unnoticed in the front pocket of jeans. Mine had to do a bit of work to get the sharpness of the knife I like, but that's not unexpected for any knife. A stiff rear spring with a strong half-stop - the Squirrel is definitely a two-handed knife (open or closed) - which is fine with me as I prefer old-style knives. Squirrel is a knife for the user. That's his greatest strength. Get him dirty and he'll come back for more. There's a reason this vintage knife is still used around the world today - it works extremely well.
