Review on πŸ”’ YOT Door Latch Cable for 2010-2013 Silverado & Sierra with Power Door Locks: Effortless Security Upgrade by Maurice Hurd

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Long is not always better than short! :)

Thing is too long to fit in the door. I installed in a 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 and when I installed it I opened and closed the door about 3 times. Went to the store and couldn't open my door either inside or outside. So I tried moving the door panel back to see what would happen, but I couldn't move the panel far enough due to the driver's seat. Well I had to remove the driver's seat to move the fairing far enough to see what the problem was. On closer inspection, the cable in the door came loose. Opened the door and sent the broken cable back so I could at least open the door from the outside. Without confusing these folks, but if your GMC or Chevy owner bites the bullet and orders a $57 factory part, it's worth it in the end. Had to buy a special set of sockets to remove the seat and use a poker to get in and flip the lever to open the door! I give 1 star for the effort!
