Just what I needed in Body

I liked that I could easily buy this cable. The dealer wanted to sell me the entire latch assembly for $149 and his order would take 7 days. All I needed was a $20 cable. I am very happy with the quality. As long as it lasts, I'm happy. Very important.

Had the same issue that another reviewer wrote about. My cable broke so I bought and installed the cable on my 08 Silverado and opened and closed the door a few times to make sure it worked. Drove to work, grabbed handle to get out, nothing, rolled down window and tried to open the door with the outside handle, nothing. I had to rip off the panel with the door closed, unplug the cord and pull on the end to open the door. The cable is too long for this year's truck and zip ties. If you have a…

Long is not always better than short! :)

Thing is too long to fit in the door. I installed in a 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 and when I installed it I opened and closed the door about 3 times. Went to the store and couldn't open my door either inside or outside. So I tried moving the door panel back to see what would happen, but I couldn't move the panel far enough due to the driver's seat. Well I had to remove the driver's seat to move the fairing far enough to see what the problem was. On closer inspection, the cable in the door came loose.
