Review on ๐Ÿ’จ Efficient Motorcraft MM970 Blower Motor without Wheel - Enhance Airflow by Greg Horn

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect for OEM, easy to swap out yourself

I chose an OEM part as I found that aftermarket parts for our 2008 Expedition EL were not durable. I thought my rear air conditioning had failed because of a blower motor resistance. Altered, no air. Ordered the next cheap part in the repair chain, and that was this one. I thought it would be difficult to get to the original part behind the right inner panel, but it turned out to be easy. Remove the center tray, upper right rear panel, lift up the door bottom end panel, and then pull the corner of the right air conditioner panel end out through the rear door. Gives enough room to reach 3 #20 torx screws to unbolt the motor and it pops off instantly. Disconnect the cable and install a new motor. Screw the 3 screws back in and put them back into the plates. The new motor is so quiet I didn't even think it was running until I felt cold air through the vents. The part was exactly the same as the one I pulled from the car, including the wheel. The entire replacement process took less than 15 minutes.
