Motorcraft Incompatible Part

2007 Ford Expedition EL Available. The part did not fit properly in the tray. As you can see from the photos the fan wheel was too big so it rubbed on the inside of the bay and wouldn't spin. I ended up buying a generic brand and it worked fine.

Pros
  • HVAC System Controller
Cons
  • Update

No more screeching!

My factory fan started dying and making a horrible grinding noise. It got so annoying we had to stop using AC. This fan was a great value, especially for an original Motorcraft. It fits perfectly and my car blows strong cold air again. Thanks Motorcraft for a great product!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Very expensive

Perfect for OEM, easy to swap out yourself

I chose an OEM part as I found that aftermarket parts for our 2008 Expedition EL were not durable. I thought my rear air conditioning had failed because of a blower motor resistance. Altered, no air. Ordered the next cheap part in the repair chain, and that was this one. I thought it would be difficult to get to the original part behind the right inner panel, but it turned out to be easy. Remove the center tray, upper right rear panel, lift up the door bottom end panel, and then pull the corner

Pros
  • Corrosion Resistant
Cons
  • Nothing
