Review on Western Digital 10TB Internal Drive by Dee Holt

The drive was shipped properly ESD protected and floating between the endcaps, tightly fitted in a cardboard box and enclosed in a large bubble envelope. Done correctly. This is the biggest unknown disc purchase on the internet. Produced in January 2021, it appears to be an update of the more common and popular EFRX CMR disc, renamed Red Plus. It has 128MB of cache, double that of EFRX. I'm not sure if there will be performance gains in practice. This model is too new to have published tests. Nightly writing and reading of each block before use revealed no bad blocks/sectors. So far, so good.
