I usually use this with an ethernet and printer device in the next USB port. While I didn't notice it at first, I did find that the device behaved as if it wasn't there for several months when it booted up. I can solve this problem by unplugging the printer and plugging it back in. Turning off the printer is enough for the device to present itself and once it's up and running I can easily plug in the printer. I'm not going to replace the device with this, but it's annoying enough to warrant an average rating rather than a strong one. This is especially true as I could easily decide the device was dead and hand it over if there was a problem. If this review saves someone from replacing them unnecessarily, then it's time well spent.
