After disappointing results with mechanical meat thermometers, I've bought several digital thermometers over the years. The latest of these is the Temlo TM26 and it is the best budget digital thermometer. The factory calibration was accurate to 0°C (32°F), a spare battery was included, and the magnetic back cover means there's no need to smash it in a kitchen drawer. I've only had enough time to try one roast, but it seems to be telling the truth about core temperature as it is related to the doneness of the meat. As for durability, time will tell, but this one can be washed under running water. I've learned the hard way from other budget thermometers that they don't stand up to regular cleaning. I'm writing this review in response to a sweep, but honestly would have written the same review without the manufacturer's prompting. Seems to be good value for a budget meat thermometer.
