These are great for securing heavy items and I find their weight capacity is definitely spot on. You are supposed to drive them in with a hammer and once screwed in (up to the screw socket) just drill into the hole. Drywall. I cracked about 3 out of 6 of them before... I pre-drilled a half" hole before screwing it in to prevent them from snapping. Another downside is that the plastic Phillips screw always snaps off when trying to remove it.
