Poor clip design but great mount
We bought this bracket to install a 7 pin post on our Curt hitch as the hitch did not have a built in mount. It was a little fiddly, but when it arrived the ratchet just wouldn't engage. I've used screw clamps a hundred times with no problems, and this clamp design isn't very efficient. The locking mechanism didn't stay locked, and as a result, the mount didn't stay in place. I had to go to the hardware store and buy a conventional clamp and had no problems.
