Very sturdy, chipping doesn't seem to be an issue
Been using these for nearly 18 months now of heavy, consistent use. Haven't had a single issue with chipping let alone breaking yet, which honestly I'm a bit (happily) surprised by. Colors have maintained their vibrancy. Cleaned mostly in a dishwasher, multiple racks, now and then hand-washing. I use an all-natural detergent, no streaking or clinging debris issues. A bit heavy and can be a lot to handle if full, but I'll take that as the bowls retain heat well for soup/stews. Some microwave use but mostly as a bowl warmer, not to cook.
