Review on Ga Ferrules 0.71 Pin Lg: Optimal Connector Solution for Precision Wiring by Quinton Wonsley

Revainrating 3 out of 5

A normal product, but they need to be made a little larger in diameter.

Ok. So, first of all, my 3-star rating is because these 1/0AWG tips need to be a little larger in diameter. Now I know that these reviews sometimes overlap with different sizes in the product line, and while I've ordered 1/0 AWG, 4 AWG, and 8 AWG, they all seem a bit too small for the wire gauge. With the 1/0 lugs in particular, I've had a very hard time connecting the lugs to the NVX 1/0 power cable I have (the NVX 1/0 dual amp kit). What I've definitely found to do the trick is to wrap fishing line around the copper to compress it. I was then able to run the tip and move it just enough to tighten after removing the cord. I started with a few turns of insulation to secure the lead, then wrapped the copper wire as tightly as I could to pull the lead. After wrapping the wire, I fed the string through the tip and started the wire. Alone I made it there as far as I could get the line while still on the wire, I unwound the line from the wire and pulled it through the tip. I was then able to slide the ferrule all the way down to the wire until it was insulated.

Cons
