Used on Ranger 4x4 lower ball joints. Removed the old originals after removing the hub/axle, upper/lower ball joints and tie rod, penetrating liquid was used to help. I braced the forearm and with a few deft punches they popped out, Ps original ball joints with 240k+ miles, also need to remove the locking brace. I cleaned and lubricated the hole with a spoked wheel. Before installing, I placed several sets of mugs and plates on the yoke, along with a ball joint for a test run. As an aid, I also frozen the ball joints before installation. Having installed a ready-made tool and using a long-handled crowbar, they pushed it in without any problems, the manufacturer does not recommend using a pneumatic percussion tool. The reason for the 4 stars is that the previously rated and commented bits might use a magnetic base or some other way of connecting to each other, juggle first or send an extra pair of hands to hold them together on the first move :) It's time to check the bearing hubs and seals dismantled.
