Review on Helect Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer -58°F to 1022°F (-50°C to 550°C), Digital Laser Temperature Gun with LCD Display (NOT for Human) by Carl Morgan

It seems to work very well, simple and fast. Good value for money.

I bought a makeshift pistol for my brother. Maybe he doesn't really need it other than he earns way more than me so what should I buy him? Sometimes he grills outdoors. I have another one that I bought earlier. I pointed it at a piece of hardware I was trying to fix to see if any part of it was overheating and it doesn't appear that any of its parts are overheating enough to damage them. So he did a good job. It's not difficult to use and doesn't drain your battery unnecessarily. It can easily be switched from Fahrenheit to Celsius and vice versa. I believe it has an LCD to show the temperature digitally. It reads very quickly, so all I have to do is turn it on and point to it. I checked the temperature in my freezer and it read around 20 degrees Fahrenheit, which is what I was expecting. I pointed it to a spot on the gas stove just above the igniter and I seem to remember it saying something like 170F or 200F. I know this spot will burn if I touch it, so it made a lot of sense. I find this fairly accurate, but stars are a silly system for judging a heat gun's accuracy. Maybe that means you can point it at the night sky and it can count the number of stars you point it at! LAUGH OUT LOUD!

Pros
  • Temperature and humidity
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
