Keeps Ceramics Clean

I bought the Fluval C-3 because I liked the look and the ease of cleaning/replacing the various parts of the filter. I use a soft-headed toothbrush and aquarium water to clean the bio-sieve from both sides when it is "clogged" with wet aquarium water coming out of the diverter nozzle that the HOB Fluval C-Series has for five filter stages. Yes, the cost is pretty steep, but it's a "special" woven polypropylene pad made just for this filter, and Fluval says you should replace the bioscreen about every two to three months for best results .
