I bought this to melt chocolate when making cake pops. I was hoping this would help me avoid having to constantly reheat melted chocolate in the microwave when making cake pops. Unfortunately, this pot does not solve this problem. It comes with two temperatures, melting and heating. Melting mode will burn or melt your chocolate if you're not careful. The warm setting is not warm enough for your chocolate to melt to a smooth coating consistency. Honestly, I don't have to use the microwave as often as I would without a pot, but it didn't completely solve my problem. In terms of value for money, I find the price a bit overpriced. Do I generally regret the purchase? No, as mentioned, I don't need the microwave nearly as often as I would without the saucepan, so I'm glad I have one. I hope this helps you decide.
