When I first bought it I had a 9 and 7/8 inch skillet, they said it would still work up to that size. So make sure you get a pan that fits properly. I got a 10" pan from my son for Christmas, the distance from the inside edge to the opposite side is 10 1/8" in diameter. The buckle is very stable not like it used to be. Also, the bottom edge of the strainer is 1/4-3/8" from the bottom of the pan. You won't believe how well it reduces splatter. Cooking bacon over medium heat doesn't splatter onto the stovetop. Cleaning is easy due to the Surface and flexibility a little awkward so I fixed that by placing it on the top shelf of my dishwasher just above the glasses or mugs I need to wash.Comes out spotless.I waited 6 months before reviewing this item have. Of course I was satisfied. The whole idea is to keep the hard to remove grease off the ceramic plate, this thing does the job. Buy it you will love it.
