It's difficult to connect if you can't see the back of the switch.

The switch appears to be fine, but it is not printing. Had to read a consumer question/answer here. Basically, my biggest complaint about this derailleur is that you can't see the back of the derailleur. with pens will test your patience. The plug is bigger than the switch, so it doesn't look like you can plug it in first by sticking it in the hole you made. keyway?
