Reliably protects against the winds that occur here. The only tricky part is finding the top and bottom consistent. When the wind blows it away, the first thing I usually do is cover it with a mirror to keep it still. The only problem is distinguishing the above from the below. Having a colored strip on one end or the other would help, but every time I put this on my car I find myself putting it on backwards. As long as I'm in the wind with it, it's like sailing, flying back and forth, I have to find the other end so I can start again.
