Another quality tool from Starrett, but...
A nice tool with a small flaw. As previously mentioned, the vise jaw that holds the tip of the scribe in place must be tightened very firmly to prevent the scribe from falling to the ground. Once tightened, the knurled nut is very difficult to loosen. I fixed this problem, hopefully forever, by removing the knurled nut and applying a tiny "don't glue" mark to the tip of the vise jaws. It is now very easy to tighten and loosen the chuck.
