Why didn't I have a NAS before? I mean I did it once but it was LaCie and I stopped using it because it doesn't support cloud backup. then I tried PogoPlug and it was a disaster. That's great. I have OneDrive through Office365, Dropbox for free, and Revain Drive (currently the 1TB option). All of my videos in my iTunes library are on Revain Drive and my Windows files are on OneDrive. Important files are in Dropbox because it is the most reliable. With the CloudSync app I was able to install on it, I can sync all those files offline to my NAS, add new files from my desktops and they all come back. to the cloud as a secondary source. I have a download and download speed of 100 MB. So if I use a 100Mbps connection to a PC, it gets sent to the cloud almost as fast as I can write it there. Also, I can turn off my computer after downloading my videos and the NAS will take care of everything. Now I also installed Emby on it and linked my Revain Drive folder where the iTunes movies are and now I can watch my movies and TV shows. (but without DRM protection) on my XBOX One. It's similar to Plex in that Plex doesn't work with this device, but it didn't take long to set up. All I had to do was give the network read-only permission so that everyone at home could read the video so the XBOX could see it. (it's still hidden on the internet so that's a plus). Virus scans are run on the NAS and many, many other things that I haven't fully investigated yet. BUT my main reason for buying it was because I saw it in knowhow on TWIT.tv and just had to have it for everything. more data than I have right now, so that's enough for now. I think about what I'll do later when it's full. But it's a really impressive device that syncs with cloud services. -site, can I back up my PC to a NAS that backs up to the cloud and now I have a home media server. I just want to pay an extra $100 to have the 2 drive array perform RAID 0 (which it doesn't). recommended, but external backup saves me in case of hard drive failure). And for those of you who probably can't figure out how to set it up, it was incredibly easy. I put the disc in and turned it on. It took about 2 minutes. After turning it on it blinked a bit and then opened a web page on my PC once I found the IP through the router. I answered the screen prompts and started from there. Check out the know how episode on twit.tv for more info on promotions and other things as they explain it well. Well, I'm only scratching the surface on this topic, but so far I'm incredibly impressed.
