Review on ENCOR for Hospital Abstracted Measures by Paul Dahl

It's easy, intuitive & straight forward - this program works well for abstracting clinical notes from medical records into an electronic format that meets JCI standards of completeness/correctness as it relates specifically only our hospital services being audited by various regulatory agencies (eg., Medicare). I like using Encor because 1) you can easily locate specific patients who need or may require additional documentation within your own organization via search filters2.) You're given instant access upon logging onto myEHR so there are no delays3.). There isn't anything about encore / encor which would prompt me not use them if they were available elsewhere at lower cost4.. We have yet another option when compared against other competitors out here! This helps us identify those "at risk" areas where quality issues exist5.- Ability track utilization metrics6-. I like that ENCOR allows me to use my existing templates, but also allows me to build my own custom template as needed. The interface could be improved by making it more intuitive. There are still some things that need to be added to make this system even better. We have been able to improve our abstracting process, which has allowed us to meet our hospital's documentation requirements.
