I did a bad thing and wasn't paying attention to my monitor and hit it with something. I panicked as I had the monitor for less than a year. I checked out AOC's warranty and found that they offer a one-time free replacement within the first year of purchase. I didn't believe it, but made a warranty claim anyway. It took forever for someone to call me back (I also had to call 3 times) but I was finally given an RMA number. I had two options: give them a credit card so they can temporarily suspend it. That way I can get a new unit before I send the old one back and the hold is released once they receive the defective unit. The second option was that they provide a return label and I send the device back, the standard replacement procedure. I chose option number 2. Today I received my tracking number for my replacement monitor. Without costs.
