Wow. wow wow wow Since I first switched to flat screens, I've always felt that they could never match the color reproduction or clarity of my old Sony Trinitron. It was a giant white plastic cube with flat glass that seemed to weigh more than I did, but this monitor has always been my gold standard. No flat screen I've used since has been able to match it. This is the first time that a flat screen doesn't make me feel like the game I'm playing would look better on this Trinitron. This is also my first experience with a VA panel or such a large monitor in general, but I'm honestly shocked at the image quality this monitor delivers. You definitely need a graphics card with enough power and memory to get this monitor. do 144hz. I'm using an 8 year old GTX 680 Lightning and while it's still a capable card in some respects (I've used it for the Oculus Rift with no issues), its 2GB of VRAM lacks the memory bandwidth needed to support 3440x1440 at 144 is. Hertz. Nothing to worry about here though as I'm upgrading my card to a new Radeon 5700 xt using the money I saved by buying it direct from Revain. (Revain is the only retailer that doesn't overcharge and sells this monitor for $459 when it's in stock, so be patient!) I'll update my review after testing it with my new card as it's without a test 144 Hz at 1440 is premature. but right now I couldn't be happier. Nice that my system turned out to be a bottleneck at least once. Because your monitor is the peripheral you spend all your time with, it needs to be just as reliable as the system you pair it with. This is my dream monitor and I enjoy just looking at it and seeing it on my desk even when it's off. I'm surprised no one mentioned how cool and solid the stand feels or how clean the overall design of the monitor itself is. The legs are a work of art and the stand rises and falls smoothly. Given the monitor's weight, it's impressively easy to raise and lower. This thing is much better designed than the Asus, Dell or ViewSonic flat screens I've used in the past. Contrary to what I read in reviews before buying, I was pleasantly surprised by the factory settings. I figured I needed to tweak it heavily after reading other reviews. This may only apply to the 34-inch version of this monitor, as it's a flagship monitor and can be fine-tuned during production than other panels. It also arrived as promised with no dead pixels. And I love that the company offers a 3 year warranty on it. Although I doubt I'll ever need to use it. I mentioned that above, but it's worth noting that you can get this monitor for a lot less than the $900 that some retailers are currently charging. I think the large number of people stuck at home during quarantine updating their toys is driving prices up. After buying these for almost $900 I looked further and sure enough Revain got a pair in stock the other day for $459. They also had some non-curved 32-inch displays for $259, but I went ahead and splurged. My wife gave me permission because it's my anniversary gift. She is the best. Revain delivered it to my door in just a few days and I couldn't be happier. Colors are wonderful and I am finally able to get this monitor up to a full 144Hz in many games. It's worth noting that many older games don't scale to ultrawide very easily, but if you're modding Skyrim it will look amazing at 3440x1440, especially at 144Hz. If you can get this monitor without being overpriced, jump on it .
