Review on BOSCH RA1151 Centering Pin and Cone Router Subbase by Rich Ferguson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

You could make one, but why?

I'm no router expert and didn't know what that thing was. Maybe you're in the same boat because it's not well explained. This product is a guide that fits into the collet of your router to allow you to accurately center the base plate on your router when changing. This may be necessary for various reasons, e.g. B. for bolting the router base to the router table or replacing the base plate with one that fits the porter cable style sockets. If none of this makes sense to you (I didn't know what a template case was until last week!), do some research on YouTube. Your router can do a lot more than you thought, and it usually takes a $20 accessory or two to unlock a lot more potential. This article will help you get the most out of this accessory. You can make one of these and I've seen several examples of people making their own. That's good, but for a perfectly accurate $6 accessory, why waste time and supplies reinventing the bike? It was a great purchase and I have used it several times.
