Review on Lodge Seasoned Cast Iron Skillet Bundle: 12-inch, 10.25-inch, and 8-inch Set of 3 Frying Pans by Miles Barney

Revainrating 3 out of 5

There are some issues, but overall quality is good.

I bought these Lodge pans because, as far as I know, Lodge is the last company making cast iron in the US. When cast iron is produced in other countries, other metals are often added to it, which reduces its quality. Honestly, I prefer raw cast iron that I can season myself. The pre-seasoning process Lodge uses makes the pans gritty, requiring you to either remove the pre-season or have lint constantly clinging to your pans. there was rust in those spots. It doesn't have to be Lodge's standard, I understand, but it is possible to remove rust from cast iron, so I'll do that.

Pros
  • CAST IRON WITH SPICES. A good seasoning is everything. Lodge fills dishes with 100% vegetable oil; without synthetic coatings and chemicals. The more you use the iron, the better the seasoning will come out.
Cons
  • Damaged
