    There are some issues, but overall quality is good.

    I bought these Lodge pans because, as far as I know, Lodge is the last company making cast iron in the US. When cast iron is produced in other countries, other metals are often added to it, which reduces its quality. Honestly, I prefer raw cast iron that I can season myself. The pre-seasoning process Lodge uses makes the pans gritty, requiring you to either remove the pre-season or have lint constantly clinging to your pans. there was rust in those spots. It doesn't have to be Lodge's standard,

    You can't go wrong with Lodge

    Uniform heat. Difficult! But it's easy to clean and lasts forever. Some are made here. Some are made in China to their standards. Everyone has their own ideas about how to clean cast iron. I follow the lodge guide. You will pass them on to your grandchildren in excellent condition. Even Heat Makes Cooking Better I've cooked 1000 meals using Lodge pans.     This is one of the oldest, if not the oldest, cast iron skillet manufacturer in the United States. These are quality kitchen appliances that, with proper care, will most likely last you the rest of your life. They are pre-seasoned. It's worth watching the video on You-Tube and learning how to season and reseason a cast iron skillet (it's really very easy).     So lots of misinformation Whilst this is a new range of pots for me I am a long time user of cast iron pans DO NOT USE SOAP ON CAST IRON PANS In this case you will need to re-season the pan before using . A properly seasoned pan only needs warm water. Stubborn stains can be removed with coarse salt and warm water. Then wipe dry and use your favorite oil. Apply a very thin coat and then store.
