Review on ๐Ÿงผ Crafters Choice - Silicone Loaf Soap Mold - Regular Size - 1501 by Summer Hendricks

I can't believe I didn't buy them years ago!

I just used this on 2 different loaves of cold soap. That was great! I will buy a few more to bake multiple loaves at once. For some reason every other silicone mold I've used has been a nightmare to extract soap from, but they are so easy to use. I have a very "soft" recipe that I use a lot, and with my wooden molds I had to wait 4 days before demolding them. Not so with these! I waited 24 hours after pouring, put it in the freezer for 30 minutes, turned it upside down and the soap came out nice and slowly. I still had to wait about 12 hours before I could cut, but that's not a problem at all. I used to use PVC tubing for round soap and my soap would get stuck in the mold but I don't think that would be a problem. the problem is here. Everything went very easily. The sides pop out a bit - just enough to let air in and release the soap, but not enough for the sides to sag while you wait for your soap to "set". I like straight sharp corners, I haven't had them in the past since I had to line my old molds with freezer paper. No lining, no fat and they are so easy to wash! I can't believe how long I debated whether or not to invest in them. If you're hesitant, I highly recommend just buying one and trying it out - I doubt you'll be disappointed! Touch too wide to fit. My soap cutter is 3 and 5/8 inches wide and slides in with enough clearance to not get stuck. It's good! I wish they had one with slightly taller sides, my old mold (and all other soaps I've made) are the same size in every way except height and now I need to change my packaging. It's ok if my customers don't mind a little height difference!

Pros
  • Makes one (1) 40-44 oz loaf
Cons
  • No instructions
