You will need a torx bit to open the outer case and a triangular security bit (which I've never seen before and which is not included) to access the internal rivets. There are no instructions, but a circuit diagram. Tools used: Wire stripper, vise, screwdriver set with torx and hex bits. Grinding machine for making a triangular nozzle from an old screwdriver. Replace with standard screws. Propane torch to heat the contacts and melt the solder. Lot. Dremel to lightly sand down the solder I spilled. Good price for a J1772 rated at 50 amps if you want to use your own cable. -1 star for security and lack of directions.
